PLDT Fiber Plus: A Better Home Internet Deal?

PLDT announced a new set of home internet plans with Fiber Plus. The new plans start at Plan 2399, which offers speeds of 200Mbps. Plan 2999 gives you 400Mbps, while PLDT’s top-end 1Gbps plan is available upon request.

Aside from offering fast download speeds, all PLDT Fiber Plus plans come with a 1-year subscription to Lionsgate Play, a landline with unlimited calls to any PLDT number, and 3 TP-Link Deco M4 Mesh WiFi points to ensure that your whole home is covered (the 1Gbps Plan gives you 5 Mesh WiFi points).

How good are PLDT’s Fiber Plus plans? For comparison, Converge‘s closest offering to Fiber Plus 2399 is FiberX 2849, which gives you up to 300Mbps download speeds and a 2-pack of Linksys’ Velop Dual Band AC2600 Mesh WiFi system. Sky Fiber, on the other hand, has Plan 2799, which offers download speeds of up to 200Mbps, along with a 2-pack Mesh WiFi system. Globe does not offer a similar plan that bundles a Mesh WiFi system as of writing this article.

Comparing similar plans with other fiber internet providers, PLDT’s Fiber Plus plans offer very good pricing–especially if you factor in that they come with Mesh WiFi points as part of the package.
