Mobile gaming has progressed exponentially within the past decade. Only a few years ago did it seem like we were only going to be able to play casual games like Candy Crush and others. Eventually, new titles such as Mobile Legends and Modern Combat drew inspiration from PC/console games and showed us what was possible on the mobile platform with enough optimization. Well-established titles like Call of Duty, Wild Rift, and others soon followed suit. With competitive mobile gaming being as serious as ever, there is less of a barrier to entry as compared to a gaming console or laptop. Maybe, it’s time to upgrade your own setup. Here are some products during the Xiaomi Black Shark sale that you should probably keep an eye on. Add these to your cart before May 15 to avail of the discounts!
Xiaomi Black Shark 5.5 Sale Products To Watch
Xiaomi Black Shark 4
(from Php 26,990 to Php 21,592 for the base 8/128GB variant, Php 34,990 to Php 27,992 for the top 12/256GB model)
The Xiaomi Black Shark 4 is a top-tier gaming smartphone with a manageable price. We thoroughly enjoyed our use of it, which you can read in our review here. It comes with a healthily-sized 6.67-inch FHD+ AMOLED display for the bright and crisp colors. This screen is HDR10 certified and comes equipped with a buttery-smooth 144Hz refresh rate, something we still don’t see very often in 2022.
We didn’t experience any hiccups in using this phone and it pummeled its way through most of our gaming tests, save for Genshin Impact which had some software optimization issues at the time. We’re sure that these issues have been addressed since then. The inclusion of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 instead of the 888 raised some eyebrows, especially for a gaming-centric smartphone, but sacrifices to performance have been nonexistent. Thermals are excellent and the software is well-optimized. Other notable features include a usable 48-megapixel triple-camera setup, 5G connectivity, WiFi 6, Dolby Atmos, an under-screen fingerprint scanner, and up to 120W of wired charging. Overall, this is still a lucrative option in 2022.

Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Pro
(from Php 30,990 to Php 27,891 for the base 8/128GB variant, Php 36,990 to Php 33,291 for the top 12/256GB model)
The Xiaomi Black Shark 4 Pro is essentially the vanilla BS4 but with everything cranked up to 11. It may appear to be the same device but it receives the bump up to the flagship-grade Snapdragon 888 processor, which was last year’s cutting-edge. The rear camera resolution has been increased to 64-megapixels, although the setup remains mostly the same. A two-layer liquid cooling system is now present to help keep temperatures low enough to avoid throttling, while RAM expansion via software has been made available as well.
Besides those changes, most of the functions remain the same – the display, the 4500 mAh battery, and everything else.

Xiaomi Black Shark Fun Cooler 2 Pro

That name is a mouthful, but the explanation is pretty simple. This cooling fan is the middle of the Black Shark lineup and its goal is to cool down your phone to maintain performance. Xiaomi Black Shark JoyBuds
(from Php 2,599 to Php 2,340)
What is one of these lists without a pair of TWS earbuds. The Black Shark JoyBuds promise a low-latency gaming experience of around 85ms, which is often an issue with wireless audio solutions. A 14.2 mm titanium-plated diaphragm with a bass guide tube provides for that rich, full, deep sound. It also comes with dual-mic active noise cancellation (ANC) to shut out the world around you, which will keep going for an advertised maximum of 6 hours per charge (and 3 extra charges with the case).
