More and more private institutions are helping the country realize a greener future. Just today, Megaworld Corporation launched its first EV charging station located in Uptown Mall BGC.
Located in the basement parking of the mall, the Pulsar Plus 22kw charging stations is open for mall visitors who need to charge their electric vehicles, more specifically those with EVs from American and European brands. Don’t worry though, Megaworld will also be launching electric chargers for e-bikes and scooters for public use around next month as well. These are all free of use and on a first come first serve basis, by the way!
According to Megaworld Lifestyle Malls head Graham Coates, this is one way for the company to take part in catering to the Filipinos’ growing transportation needs.
“Sustainability is one of our major thrusts as a company, and we take great pride in joining this initiative by the government to cater to Filipinos’ growing demand for alternative transportation solutions that are both convenient and environmentally friendly,” he stated.
The company’s move towards innovation and a greener world does not stop here. Other Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, such as Eastwood City, McKinley Hill, Forbes Town, and Arcovia City will soon have electric vehicle chargers of their own as well.
