With the realme 8, 8 5G, and 8 Pro already official, it is simply a matter of time before the brand will launch the entry-level 8i. That launch might happen soon, as the realme 8i was revealed in the latest set of leaks.

As expected, the design leaks of the realme 8i make it appear to be very similar to its more expensive siblings, but omits the bold “Dare to Leap” branding. Noticeable exterior differences include a triple rear camera setup, with the main camera being a 50-megapixel sensor. The main camera will be accompanied by two 2-megapixel sensors.

The display is slightly bigger than its predecessor at 6.59-inches, and is getting a better Full HD+ resolution and 120hz refresh rate. The punch-hole still keeps a 16-megapixel selfie snapper, and we expect the panel to be IPS given the presence of a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Other leaked specs include a 5000mAh battery with 18w USB-C charging, at least 4GB RAM, at least 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, and a Helio G96 processor.

Announced last month, Helio G96 comes with Cortex-A76 cores that are clocked at up to  2.05GHz, and have support for LPDDR4X memory & UFS 2.2 storage. The 4G-only chip has native support for 120hz Full HD+ displays and can handle cameras at up 108-megapixels.

realme India and Europe CEO Madhav Sheth did confirmed the existence of the realme 8i and 8s, so we expect to see both phones very soon.
