Smart Communications and MOONTON Games have partnered for Season 8 of Mobile Legends Professional League (MPL) in the Philippines.
The country’s biggest mobile esports league will start on August 27, 2021. Eight teams are set to compete in a round-robin format for a shot at the championship. Participating teams include Blacklist International, Bren Esports, Onic PH, RSG PH, Echo Philippines (Formerly Aura PH), Nexplay Evos (Formerly Nexplay Esports), TNC Pro Team (Formerly Work Auster Force), and Smart Omega.
Recently, Smart and MOONTON Games teamed up for the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Southeast Asia Cup (MSC). Team Execration was able to bag the championship in the said event, beating the best teams from Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Smart and MOONTON Games have been partnering together in the MPL since half a decade ago, this is to support mobile gamers in the Philippines as Smart believes they have a bright future in esports.
