After teasing its new RGBW sensor co-developed with Samsung at MWC 2022, TECNO has made its 64-megapixel RGBW sensor official with the Camon 19 Pro series. To recap, the new sensor adds a white sub-pixel to improve light sensitivity by as much as 1.7x. Combined with its use of Glass+Plastic lens, the new setup aims to drastically improve imaging performance on a mid-range phone.

The Camon 19 Pro series comes in 4G and 5G variants, both having up to 256GB storage, 8GB RAM, 5000mAh battery with support for 33w wired charging, and a 6.78-inch Full HD+ IPS display with a 120hz refresh rate.

The 4G version has a 50-megapixel portrait camera, 32-megapixel selfie snapper, and a Helio G96 processor, while the 5G version gets a lower-resolution 16-megapixel selfie snapper, 2-megapixel AI camera, and a Dimensity 810 processor.

The Camon 19 Pro 4G is priced at $280(~Php 15k), while its 5G sibling is priced at $320(~Php 17.1k). It will be available in India in July. No word yet on availability in other countries.
