Among the slew of laptops that ASUS announced in its Pinnacle of Performance event, another line of laptops that caught our eye aside from the ZenBook Pro 16X OLED is the VivoBook 13 Slate OLED, which comes in two Artist Edition variants.
For this special edition line, ASUS partnered with Steven Harrington and Philip Colbert for the special packaging for the VivoBook 13 Slate OLED. Regardless of what Artist Edition variant you plan to purchase, you get an eco-friendly box and exclusive themed accessories that include a cover stand, smart cover, sleeve, and stylus holder. With the VivoBook 13 Slate OLED being positioned as an affordable alternative for creatives, the Artist Edition adds pop art to give aspiring artists an extra dose of inspiration.
This is not the first time ASUS collaborated with artists for unique editions of its laptops: it previously collaborated with Alan Walker for the ROG Zephyrus G14, which is a special edition laptop that included an acrylic box that also functions as a working DJ deck.
Going into the spec sheet, the VivoBook 13 Slate OLED is an entry-level offering, as it comes with a Pentium Silver N6000 processor that is paired with up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB storage. They are modest as a laptop for creators, though ASUS appears to be targeting students with the loud colors of the VivoBook 13 Slate OLED artist edition. As a convertible with a detachable keyboard, the VivoBook 13 Slate OLED’s main feature is the 13.3-inch Full HD OLED touchscreen display with 100% DCI-P3 gamut coverage and support for ASUS Pen.
Both editions are slated to release by the second quarter of 2022 for 800 Euros(~Php 44.1k), which is around Php 4k more expensive than the regular VivoBook 13 Slate OLED that’s already available in the Philippines.
