You read that right – SMART, in collaboration with Apple Music, is set to dole out complimentary 6-month plans to their subscribers. It’s actually been out for awhile now, but this becomes a better deal when you consider the new features that have been implemented within the app. What does this all entail and how does the streaming service fare in the digital age of cloud content consumption?

This is a great day for subscribers of SMART, as the Apple Music library currently boasts around 90 million tracks. That’s a lot of tunes to choose from (and 8 million over Spotify’s estimate), no matter what your music taste may be like. The company doesn’t intend to stagnate at that number either, since they’re constantly onboarding new artists and including songs from the past. It is definitely a library that will see inevitable expansion in the future.

Another feature to be excited about is Spatial Audio. This feature will give users a surround sound-like experience. Sound will appear to envelop the user in a fully-immersive experience. One of the drawbacks to this though is that it’s only limited to Apple devices. That list includes AirPods and Beats as the audio outputs, while the players need to be on a certain version of iOS.

We know a lot of you here anyways are on Apple phones or tablets. SMART subscribers will also have access to Apple Music Lossless, for crisp sound and clear quality at the very top of wireless audio’s technological capabilities.

To give this a little bit of a Filipino touch, this SMART Apple Music promo is headlined by now-iconic band Ben&Ben. Let their soul-soothing (and sometimes soul-crushing) pieces transport you to another realm within your imagination. It’s quite easy, and here are the steps:

“All users have to do is log into their updated GigaLife App and activate the Apple Music offer on the app’s home screen. Once successfully signed up for an Apple Music account, subscribers can use it on all their devices, not just on their smartphones.” Check here for a more detailed how-to.

We’re looking forward to giving this feature a try ourselves. Good luck and happy listening!
